REFLECTIONS, April 2000 "Mental Spring Cleaning—A Healthy Mind Can Help Influence a Healthy Body"

The emotion anger is also a thief. It steals precious time and can eventually lead to an early death.

Loving other people means looking out for their best interests.

Judge not and be not judged (Matthew 7:1 The Holy Bible)

Be careful not to offend. Evil deeds and words will come back to you times three. What goes out must come back to sender: this is the universal law.

Does the past bind you? Forgiveness has an amazing power to lesson the hold of  past memories.

Drugs can alter your moods and lift your emotions. However, only true mental  health can be achieved through certain steps:
  1. Confronting your fears and overcoming them;
  2. Actively planning your future and goals to work toward;
  3. Living the present by actively living your life every day to the fullest;
  4. Developing your talents, skills, and abilities through the act of challenging what you already can do with new opportunities (new employment, hobbies, travel etc).

Feeling sorry for yourself achieves absolutely nothing positive. Don't spend so much time thinking and more time "living": go to a bookstore or coffee house and
read; strike up a conversation with a new person; go someplace you have never gone to before.

Wisdom does NOT always comes with age. It is a process that requires concentration of the mind through deductive reasoning; applying knowledge learned; and being able to forgive, apologize and grow when you are in error.

Holding grudges against anyone is evil. As you forgive others, shall your own sins be forgiven by the eternal creator.

Consider meditation. Meditation is to the mind as to what exercise is to the body.

Accept the differences that come with different people. Only then can you learn to appreciate the differences that define who you are.

Your vision will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outsides, dreams; who looks inside, awakes. —Carl Jung
